This ring was inherited from a very special gentleman, I'm unsure if the ring was his wife's or his mothers but I know it was special to him as he kept it in his safe instead of with the rest of his jewelry. He was a big gold collector and had a fine taste for jewelry which leads me to believe it may have been his wife's. Whether it was his wife's or his mothers this ring is not a divorce ring but rather a "til death do us part" ring. I wish I knew more details of the story of the piece because I know it would be a good one.
