18 karat (tested) yellow gold and silver (alloy unknown) vintage (circa 1890-1900) cocktail ring with sapphires and diamonds. The ring is centered by three natural sapphires weighing 1.7 carat total weight, estimated by formula. Two measure 6.0 X 4.0 millimeters. The sapphires are very dark blue in color and the cut and clarity are fair. The sapphires are bead set along the length of the elongated navette shaped ring. The ring measures 29 X 10 millimeters in a marquis shape. Eighteen old mine cut diamonds weighing .75 carat total, estimated are bead set around the sapphires and all along the outer edges. The diamonds weigh between .07 to .01 carat each. Six diamonds are chipped. The bright finished shank is 2.0 millimeters wide. The ring weighs 5.6 grams.
