Custom White Sapphire in Platinum Trellis Setting (looks just like a diamond!)
This is a handmade custom trellis setting that was created by a local craft jeweler in 950 platinum. The setting is lower to help keep the ring from catching and the prongs were heavy to secure the white sapphire that is the same size as a diamond. The white sapphire was compared to look as good as a diamond without the environmental impact and a lower cost. Platinum is a heavy weight and because of the properties of the metal it will last forever. The ring is a 4mm wide flat profile round shank and made to be comfortable. The stone is 6.61x6.61x4.23mm and the setting allows the light to sparkle, no one will know the difference from a diamond to sapphire and you will feel good about this being a humanely produced ring.
The ring was not warn for very long, approximately 5-6 months. It was custom created for a classic timeless design in a classic metal known to last. This ring is ready to become an heirloom and commemorate a special bond!
