Custom Karen Karch 18K white gold engagement ring. Truly unique and special piece.
This was my engagement ring in 2007. Its an beautiful handcrafted ring by the New York based designer Karen Karch. The ring is size 5.25, unplated 18K white gold.
The ring is centered with a bezel set round brilliant cut diamond measuring 5.5 mm x 3.2 mm weighing 0.59 ct, color F, clarity SI/1, depth 58.2% and table of 60%. The sides are decorated with two bezel set round, brilliant cut diamonds measuring approx. 3.1 mm each, .24 ct a piece. Their color is also F and clarity SI/1.
I had it appraised November 21st, 2011 at Allied Gem Appraisers in Chicago at a value of $5000.
Karen Karch (formerly Push) is known for handcrafted, custom made rings that are inspired by vintage jewelery. This ring comes from a series of designs inspired by tiaras. Currently her engagment rings sell for $12,000 and up, as she uses VV1 or 2 diamonds. Get one of her original rings for a fraction of the price! The SI/1 flaws of the center diamond are invisible to the eye and the cut so fabulous and glittery, the color so white, that its worth saving the money.

I'd truly keep this ring if it wasn't so much an engagement ring in my eyes. I've considered it for a long time, but as I can't bring myself to rework it, it seems like a good idea to pass it on to someone who will love it as much I do.
