Brand new 1.05 CT solitaire
Brand new Solitaire Engagement Ring, beautiful, just not what I wanted and we missed their return policy of 30 days.
My now fiance purchased this ring in Feb or Mar to make sure it makes it to our remote location in time, as due to Covid mail was taking up to and over a month to recieve. He proposed to me on his deceased moms birthday in April. I discovered instantly I loved the ring, but it is just not for me, so I tried it on and put it back in the box. We sent it back to People's and there was a postal error, so the ring came back, got that fixed, sent the ring back, and approx 2 weeks later the ring came back to us, with a letter stating that we were at 55 days and only had 60 days to do an exchange. Surprise, surprise the ring didn't show up until after 60 days was up. Our hands are tied, I have literally tried everything with People's to get a refund. The only way they accept an exchange is in store, which the closest is 12 hours away, and in another province. That would mean that I would have to take 2.5 weeks off of work, to be able to go to Alberta, to a store, exchange the ring (if I can find anything I like, (I have spent hours on their website and nothing I want is on their), cross the border and have to quarantine for 14 days.
I did say yes to him, and if the ring had a lower setting I would have kept it.
