BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE DIAMOND ENGAGEMENT RING FROM A BEAUTIFUL SOUL

BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE DIAMOND ENGAGEMENT RING FROM A BEAUTIFUL SOUL

$1,795.00

HOW I ACQUIRED THIS LOVELY ART NOUVEAU ENGAGEMENT RING: Unlike most products, jewelry commemorates special events and emotions. People may be unhappy if they lose a television set. People are devastated when they lose a wedding band. This point was illustrated for me when a beautiful elderly woman came into my showroom. She showed me the ring. It belonged to her mother, who passed away in the 1970s. She had been married for more than fifty years. The wonderful lady who showed me the ring had been widowed for almost two decades. She wanted to sell the ring to me because there was nobody in her family in need of an engagement ring and she couldn’t bear the thought of it being melted down. She made me promise to sell the ring as a ring and not just to recycle the gold and the diamond. She wanted someone to wear the ring and to have a marriage as long and as happy as her mother’s marriage had been and as long and as happy as her marriage had been. She told me stories of her mother and father attending Broadway shows in the 1920s and how her mother talked about the glamor of the old school musicals. She even sang some show tunes for me, and as we drank tea and talked, I really felt fond of her. Of course I promised her I would sell the ring intact and encourage the couple who got it to love each other and to enjoy many years together. After all, that’s exactly what a ring like this represents to me. THE SPECIFICS: This ladies antique engagement ring (circa 1920s) is crafted from 14k white gold and weighs 2.10 grams. The round antique cut natural diamond weighs 0.33 carats. The diamond is grades with color at H and clarity at SI1. The ring is size 6 and is resizable prior to shipping. Your ring comes with an appraisal performed by a GIA Accredited Jewelry Professional. You have probably heard of the GIA. It’s the Gemological Institute of America. They developed the “Four C’s” and GIA Certified Diamonds are very popular. Your appraisal will include a description of the materials used, the quality, and the retail replacement value of $2,400.00 914-96009
