ART DECO ENGAGEMENT RING WITH AN EXCITING STORY

ART DECO ENGAGEMENT RING WITH AN EXCITING STORY

$1,195.00

THE ADVENTURE BEHIND THIS RING:

This ring has a great story. In 1929 a young man’s great grandmother fell in love with a sailor just about to go out to sea. They wrote each other every week for two years and when he returned, he took her on an adventure overseas. They walked through Europe and then through Africa and India. Today, we’d call that a backpacking tour. Back then, they just explored. They came back to the states and were married. He told me they took international trips every year or two, and remained married in their lives of adventure for forty-eight years! I was especially pleased to learn he intended to use the money from the sale of this ring to help fund his own backpacking trip across Europe. That’s just fantastic in my mind, and I’m also happy that a new couple will get to find joy from this amazing ring.
