My brother broke off an engagement a few years back and deposited the ring in his safety deposit box. He payed roughly $26,000 for it from a custom jeweler who is a family friend. We're told this was a good price for this piece. The item was forgotten and only recently was he reminded that he still had the ring in his possession. A New York City wholesaler will pay $9,000 for it as a liquidation price, which leads me to believe it's worth 2-3x that on the market. (We've seen something similar at Tiffany's for $32,000) I'd prefer to sell it to someone who will get a great deal from it and put it to good use, that would make my brother happy, rather than a wholesaler who is in solely for an easy profit. I'm not sure the picture does it justice, the platinum is quite sharp and the diamond is simple and elegant. Happy to answer any questions you may have. Jeff
