1.64 Oval Brilliant, VS1 clarity, G Color & excellent cut
Engagement ring purchased through Helzberg Diamonds in 12/2019. Yellow gold vintage halo setting encrusted with diamond stones. The center stone is a lab-grown oval brilliant certified and laser engraved by GCAL (no. 291510110). Front and back of GCAL certification card are pictured with diamond statistics. It is an excellent cut, VS1 clarity, and total carat is 1.64. I almost went with 2 carat but the stone was too large for the setting. This size fits perfect, and the oval in the halo setting makes it look much larger. Color is G, and in the setting it has a yellowish tint to the stone.
I love this ring, but it represents a painful experience. My fiancee and I ended our engagement and it hurts really bad right now. Trying to move on and this would help a lot.
Would love to get as close to value for it as I can but I will take 70-80% on the dollar if possible. The setting was $2200 and the stone was $8800 retail... so total cost of the entire engagement ring was about $11,000. Earth-mined equivalents are priced anywhere 10-40% above this, so if you are working with a budget then lab-grown is a get more value in the 4 C's.
Dont have exact dollar amount on hand for what I paid but I can dig up the reciept if need be for proof. Please let me know if you have any additional questions for me. Thank you.
