Oh how I loved Nora. I'd moved to NYC from New England and wound up moving into the building next to her parents' apartment on the Upper West Side. I was completely entranced with the Dalton & Brown crowd she was a part of and the high power business people her physician parents had as friends. We spent time in the Vineyard with her family, had weekly dinners with the parents at the finest restaurants. I'd moved to NYC 4 years before meeting Nora and tried so hard to network to meet cool New Yorkers and, seemingly overnight, thanks to Nora I had 40+ best friends. I found myself having such a great time I agreed to convert to Judaism for she and her mother and spent many nights in a small room with an orthodox rabbi and 15 shiksas. (Turns out I loved Judaism and today it's quite prominent in my lfe) I was so in love with Nora I decided to buy this diamond band for her birthday and gave it to her one beautiful May afternoon in Central Park. Six months later this beautiful little ring was left in the apartment we shared for about 6 weeks and I was moving out. Nora had been applying to Med Schools, studying for the MCATS and I was transitioning to ownership of a small business in the interior design finishes industry. We didn't fit and it was so sad but absolutely the best thing to happen to me. I've had this ring tucked away in my apartment for three years and feel it's time to find it a good home. Nora loved this ring and I felt so proud when I saw her wearing it. It's so beautifully simple it deserves a good home.
